A free demo before you commission your website: how it works and why we do it
Commissioning a website usually works the opposite way round to how it should. You pay a deposit, you wait weeks and, when you finally see something, you have already handed over money for a design you still do not know whether you will like. If you have ever asked an agency for a quote, you know the feeling: they show you nice references from other clients, they ask you to trust them up front, and you sign blind.
We do it the other way round. Before you pay anything, we show you a free demo of your website: a real, working version, with your name, your colours and your content. You see it, you use it on your phone, you show it to your partner. And only if it convinces you do we carry on. We call this the demo-first model, and in this article we tell you exactly how it works.
What a free demo is and why it removes the risk
A demo is not a sketch in a PDF or a Figma mockup you have to imagine. It is a real, navigable web page, with its header, its sections, its buttons and its mobile version. The difference from a normal proposal is enormous: instead of promising you how your business would look online, we show it to you already built.
The reason for doing it this way is simple. The biggest barrier to commissioning a website is not the price, it is the fear of getting it wrong. What if I pay and then I do not like it? What if it takes months? What if what they deliver looks nothing like what I had in my head? The free demo removes that fear in one move, because it inverts the logic: first you see the result, then you decide. The risk stops being on your side of the table.
For a sole trader or a small business this matters especially. You do not have spare budget for experiments, and running your business is enough work without gambling on a website you cannot picture. Seeing the demo before paying gives you something almost nobody in this industry offers: certainty about what you are buying.
How the process works, step by step
Here it is broken down so you know what to expect at each point:
Notice that the paying step does not appear until the end, and only once you have seen and validated the work. That is the whole difference.
- 1. We talk about your business. A short conversation: what you do, what you want the site to achieve (that they call you, that they book, that they see your menu) and what you like visually. No endless questionnaires.
- 2. We research and build the demo. We look at your Instagram, your Google listing, your premises. We take your logo and your real photographs (or we put honest placeholders if you do not have them yet) and we build a first version made for your brand, not a generic template with your name on top.
- 3. We send you a link. You get a URL and you open it wherever you like: computer, phone, tablet. You browse it as if it were already live.
- 4. You tell us what you would change. Is the colour not yours? Is a section missing? Does the text not sound like you? We adjust it. The demo is the starting point of a conversation, not a «take it or leave it».
- 5. Only if it convinces you do we carry on. If you like it, we move to the final site: domain, final content, SEO, whatever you need. And if it does not convince you, you walk away having paid nothing and owing nobody anything.
What you need to provide
Less than you think. For the demo to be faithful to your business, these help a lot:
If you have almost none of this, it does not matter. We research your online presence and build on real data instead of inventing what you offer. What we never do is fill your site with services you do not provide just because «they fit the sector».
- Your logo, if you have one (and if not, we sort it out).
- Some real photographs of your premises, your dishes, your products or your team.
- An idea of what you want the site to achieve: bookings, calls, orders, visibility.
- If you have a visual reference you love (another site, a style), send it over and that one wins.
How long until you have your demo?
The timing depends on how much information you give us and how complex the project is, but the whole point of the demo-first model is precisely that you do not have to wait weeks to see something tangible. The first thing you receive is a navigable version, not an invoice. From there, the rounds of changes tend to go fast because we are already working on something concrete rather than on assumptions.
This is not theory: it is how we actually work
The demo-first model is not a slogan, it is how the whole studio is set up. That is why our prices are public and you can configure your project online at build your plan, without waiting for a salesperson to send you a PDF with small print.
And it goes beyond web design. With Amancaes, a Peruvian restaurant in Valencia, we run their Instagram with AI agents: a real example of how we apply this same «show me what it does before I commit» philosophy to content as well. Our social content agent is just as transparent: 79 € a month, with the price in plain sight from the first minute.
Frequently asked questions about the free demo
Is the free demo really with no commitment?
Yes. You see it, you judge it and you decide. If it does not convince you, you do not carry on and you have paid nothing. You sign nothing to receive the demo, and you are not «tied in» for having asked for one.
What if I want to know the price before asking for the demo?
It is right there. Unlike much of the industry, we do not hide our rates. A small business website in Spain has very variable market ranges depending on what it includes, and we explain it without smoke in our article on how much a small business website costs in 2026. For your specific price, you configure it yourself in the configurator.
Does this work for a restaurant or a bar?
Perfectly. In fact, in hospitality the demo is even more useful, because seeing your online menu and your booking button actually working is worth a thousand times more than imagining them. If you have a food business, take a look at what your online menu needs in order to sell.
The next step is yours
If you are tired of paying blind and of proposals that only exist in a slide deck, the demo-first logic is for you: you see your real website, you decide with something in front of you, and you only move forward if it convinces you. No pressure, no small print and no having to trust a promise.
Whenever you like, go to build your plan, put your project together in a couple of minutes, and we start where it makes sense to start: by showing you your website before you pay for it.
